I asked Girshel to create some pieces for inspirational e-books I wanted to create. He was getting depressed about having cancer a second time. I wanted to not only get him to focus on something besides his health, I also wanted give Girshel an e-book to play on his ipad in the background to improve his mood (and mine) when he was feeling down. I gave him a list of keywords to inspire him.

I wanted Girshel to improvise completely - no prep at all. He was quite skilled at creating beautiful improvised pieces at the drop of a dime. Some of which I had the privilege to record and may share one day.

Throughout December 2015 and January 2016, Girshel recorded snippets whenever he was inspired anytime of the day or night.

After editing some of his compositions and inserting sounds of nature I recorded in St. Lucia, I put together "60 Minutes to Success and Happiness", an inspirational e-book in iTunes that I simply love to listen to! So many people that have listened to it and watched it find it so calming and inspiring. We were really proud of what we accomplished.

Unfortunately, Girshel's health crisis took center stage and the second e-book took a back seat though he completed the music.

At the end of summer, I decided to put up a Bandcamp page that featured the improvisations Girshel created for me. He was very modest when I played it for him but I could tell that he was proud.
